Internet more widely used in the world. Internet terms such as Chat, Browse, Download often we hear and read in the media. Similarly, services such as Google, Facebook, and YouTube too busy discussed. So, what and how the Internet actually is?

What is the Internet?

In schools and offices, we are accustomed to seeing a number of computers connected to each other. These computers can open the same data but different locations. Computers that are connected together is called the Network Computer.

The data are sent and displayed each computer are stored in a master computer in a computer network. This main computer is called a server.

So, what is the Internet? The Internet is a computer network with the world scale. Computer Types

Nowadays the computer has evolved into various types, according to the size and purpose:

Personal Computer (PC) or Microcomputer, the computer designed for use by individuals. Personal Computers are a common type we found, both desktop PC in office desks, and laptop that can be taken anywhere.
Desktop PC is designed to be installed permanently in one place. This type of which has long been known to the public.
Laptops or Notebooks, PCs that are designed to be used in a flexible, easy to move the location, and more energy efficient.
Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or Handheld Computer, the computer without a keyboard designed compact and small size. Operate via the touch screen.

Computer Types

Workstations, PCs with the technical specifications and a higher ability to be used in group work.
Servers, a computer with high technical specifications, is used as the main computer network. Its job was to serve the computers in the network.

Server

Mainframe, large-scale server computers, typically used for servers in large corporations.
Supercomputer, a combination of several computers that are designed to work in parallel to form a computer system, as if into a super computer.
Wearable Computer, a computer application that integrates with other technology devices, such as the clock, phone, and so on.
